                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 406 AND
                   408 SPEARS AVENUE, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE
                   OF SPEARS AVENUE AT BUSH STREET FROM R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 406 and 408 Spears
                Avenue, being on the northeast line of Spears
                Avenue at Bush Street.  Lots 7, 8, 9, and 10,
                Williams First Addition to Hill City, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 2, page 26, ROHC; being
                the properties described in deed book 4044, page
                189, ROHC, and deed book 3571, page 247, ROHC.  Tax
                Map No. 135D-B-14 and 15.
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone to M-2 Light Industrial Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Subject to site-obscuring screen along Bush Street.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
